Hi Rachael! I love your blog. I currently have two daughters and am thinking about a third. I am also bipolar type I. Reading your blog is really reassuring. I just have one question for you. How do you manage sleep? I have really, really hard mornings. I am so tired it's hard to get moving. Most mornings I don't know how I make it through. Do you have similar difficulties. I would love to exercise in the morning but am too tired. Perhaps I should try light therapy. I'll talk to my doctor about this but was just wondering if you had similar struggles and how you cope. Thanks for the blog, it's great!
Interesting question, sleep. I pretty much have always my entire life had a crazy sleep schedule. I either sleep too little or too much, sleep at the wrong hours or whatnot.
Right now I'm having a lot of success by using the Phillips GoLITE blu - bluelight therapy device. Learn more about it here: http://bit.ly/acg3y5
Over the long term it is supposed to help regulate your sleep. In the immediate term it makes me feel more awake even if I need more sleep.
